The Closing Ceremony of the 9th Intensive Training Course on Foreign Trade English Translation was held at Sinopec Management Institute on November 6. Mr. Wang Tiebin, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Department of Sinopec Group, Mz. Guo Yingjie , Vice President of Sinopec Management Institute attended the ceremony, as well as Mz. Yang Ailing and Mr. Fan Liping, division leaders of African Affairs Department.

The training course was organized by the Foreign Affairs Department of Sinopec Group. Thirty participants from twenty subsidiaries attended this training after a series of pre-training tests. The training course was jointly developed and conducted by Sinopec Management Institute and the Educational and Training Center of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration in order to further improve the comprehensive abilities of the foreign affairs staff of Sinopec Group Company and their levels of handling complex translation problems.

The training course covered the topics of business English - Chinese translation and interpretation, closely connected with petrochemical industry, in the forms of lecturing, drilling and simulation to enhance the effectiveness of teaching. All the teachers involved were experts and experienced translators from China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, international organizations and well-known domestic universities. This training course aimed at providing more supports to further strengthen the construction of high - quality and high - level foreign affairs translation talents under the circumstance of the national "Belt and Road" initiative.
